A good habit for parents to start early is to provide healthierfood choices for children. Often I hear parents say that theirchild is a pickie eater but the truth is parentsoften are the ones that set the stage as to how their kids eat. If a child begins at an early age viewing celery with peanut butter as a snack that becomes a norm for them.
The above link is a collection of kids recipes.

BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE

There is no true way to shield ourselves from exposure to molds, bacteria and viruses because we live in a world where there are many different strains of them. The best way to defend ours and our loved ones health is by having a good defensive routine that become part of our everyday living. One product that has been noted for its protection is silver. Nature's Sunshine offers both a liquid Silver product for internal use as well as a product to clean the surfaces of your home and work environment.

NATURAL SWEETNERS

Stevia gets its sweetness from Rebiana (aka Reb-A) — an extract from the Stevia plant. Stevia has zero calories. It must be noted however that it is not regulated by the FDA.

Sugar alcohols, the most common ones known are xylitrol and sorbitol. This category of sweeteners does contain calories about the same as pure cane sugar and are not well absorbed from the digestive tract. They have been known to cause gas, bloating and diarrhea.

If taste is your objective, than the alcohol sugars are best followed by Splenda. You will find that which ever you choose if you stick to the same one your taste buds will adapt

Note: some people wonder about using honey as a sweetener. It has to be used with caution. If you do choose honey you need to adjust your daily intake of carbohydrates by 40-50g.

HERBS FOR THE HAIR

We all strive to have beautiful hair but really things begin for healthy hair at the roots. When we fail to nourish our hair it can become dull, brittle and dry in appearance. Poor care can lead to split ends and breakage. There are several herbs that help nourish the hair.

Black Walnut Hull has antibacterial, antiviral, and antiparasitic properties

Burdock helps maintains and promote a healthy scalp while encouraging hair growth. You will seek an improvement in shine and body also with its use.

Calendula Flowers is nourishing and healing with antifungal properties

Chamomile is healing if there is any inflammation of the scalp

Comfrey Root is well know for its healing properties and offers relief to dry itchy scalp

Neem helps repair damage hair and restores sheen and encourages hair growth

Neetle has antifungal properties and will stimulate the scalp encouraging hair growth
