ESSENTIAL OILS TO CONTROL ALLERGIES
The beauty of flowers, the chirping of birds, the warmth of the sun , yes, it is the arrival of spring and the warmth that we’ve longed for through the cold winter months but along with it comes a greenish yellow deposit that seems to be covering everything indicating the beginning of, for many, the dreaded allergy season.
Those with seasonal allergies know all too well about red, watery, itching eyes, that annoying tickle deep down in your ears, and a nose that is either running constantly or blocked shut – but did you know that you can get relief from this discomfort by using essential oils?
In addition to essential oils having antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, some of them are also have anti- histamine and anti-allergenic properties.
A blend of the oils of black pepper, German chamomile and helichrysum provides relief from many of the symptoms associated with seasonal allergies. Diffusing tea tree and grapefruit oil can open blocked, swollen nasal passages at the same time boosting the immune system.
I couldn’t leave out the two all time favorites, Eucalyptus and Peppermint which are excellent for opening passageways.
Use oils in a diffuser, a bath or as a spritzer to spray the room. You can also spray your air vents and filters the solution.
Always remember to use quality therapeutic grade essential oils and more is always too much.
